// FOR WORKDAY
Fill Workday applications without losing an afternoon
Workday is the most time-consuming ATS to fill by hand. Open Applier reads your saved profile and completes every required field across the multi-step flow so you can review once and submit.

// WHY IT HURTS
Why Workday is a time sink
- 5–8 pages per application with dozens of required dropdowns
- Inconsistent field names across tenants (myworkdayjobs.com subdomains)
- Citizenship, clearance, and visa questions that repeat in every application
// WHAT OPEN APPLIER DOES
What we do for Workday
- Auto-fill applications from your saved Open Applier profile
- AI-tailored resumes and cover letters matched to each job description (Pro)
- Review every filled application before it submits — no silent sends
- Visible application queue with retry on transient failures
- Handles Workday's multi-page flow (personal info → experience → education → self-identification → voluntary disclosures)
- Structural skip logic for yes/no citizenship, sponsorship, and clearance intents
- School "Other" fallback when a university is not in the Workday taxonomy
- Retries transient Workday server errors with Retry-After respect
// EDGE CASES
Workday quirks we handle
Tenant-specific field variance
Every employer running Workday has their own subdomain and slightly different field configuration. The Open Applier resolver detects the intent behind each field (e.g. "highest degree attained") rather than matching on label text, so it works across tenants without per-employer configuration.
Dropdown values that are not your values
Workday dropdowns often expose a controlled vocabulary that does not include your actual value (e.g. your school, your gender identity). The fill logic prefers the closest match and falls back to "Other" or "Prefer not to say" rather than inventing a value.
Legally-sensitive questions
Citizenship, veteran status, disability, and clearance questions are surfaced for your explicit decision on every application, not auto-filled from your profile. You approve each answer once per application; the filler never assumes.

Workday FAQs
- Which Workday tenants does Open Applier support?
- Open Applier works on any employer using Workday (myworkdayjobs.com subdomains). The filler is intent-based, not tenant-configured, so it handles FAANG Workday, mid-market Workday, and public-sector Workday with the same logic.
- Does Open Applier submit Workday applications automatically?
- No. Every Workday application stops at a review step before submission. You see the exact values that will be sent, including answers to demographics and work-authorization questions, and click Approve to submit. This is non-configurable.
- What happens when Workday changes a field?
- Our resolver logs the unknown field and surfaces it in your question inbox. You answer it once; the answer is saved to your profile and reused on future applications, so the same field never interrupts you twice.
- Can Open Applier handle Workday voluntary self-identification?
- Yes. Voluntary fields (gender, race/ethnicity, veteran status, disability) are filled only from values you have explicitly set in your application profile. Unset fields default to "Prefer not to say" rather than guessing.
